Human Resources Co-ordinator

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Ealing

Hours of work: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £28,000

Work schedule: Office based for first month, hybrid after that (3 days in office, 2 days from home)

Job Purpose

To be responsible and accountable for developing and implementing a wider, more comprehensive HR service in all aspects including but not limited to, recruitment; providing advice and support to managers and team members; developing and implementing company's policies and procedures, developing, implementing and fully supporting organisational change initiatives and strategies and providing legal advice on employment matters.

Role Responsibilities

* To positively advise, support and inspire all company's Associates in such a way that ensures the improvement, development and growth of the organisation and the individuals within it.

* To initiate, develop, encourage and maintain by whatever means available close working relationships with all Associates with special attention to team members.

* To monitor performance and conduct of Associates and to draw concerns to the relevant line manager of the Associate and the HR Advisor/HR Manager where appropriate.

* Support the HR Manager and other team and management members in all aspects of company's management requirements.

* To challenge inappropriate behaviour, conduct and or attitude with direct reports within the team in an appropriate manner and on a timely basis.

* Responsible for processing UK and Ireland payroll.

* To proactively provide guidance and support to organisation’s managers and help address complex and/or sensitive human resources issues with those managers, as and when they arise.

* To be responsible for the development and implementation of organisation's policies and procedures.

* To arrange, attend and participate in interviews, disciplinary and grievance hearings as required.

* To support the implementation of organisational change including structural, cultural and/or business planning changes within the organisation.

* To produce and revise job descriptions and person specifications, as well as undertaking evaluation of posts, as and when required.

* To assist the HR Manager in preparing budgets for HR activities and for ensuring the proper control of expenditure and adherence to agreed budgets within the framework of organisation's financial regulations and standing orders.

* To forge strong effective links with all Associates to promote and ensure that organisation’s mission, vision and values are widely understood and maintained.

* To forge links with external organisations to negotiate and provide best practice service in a cost effective way. This includes but is not limited to employment agencies and or advertising channels in a cost effective way.

* To liaise closely with stakeholders within the organisation to ensure the maximum level of HR best practice and service.

* To work closely with the HR Manager and all Managers to support all activities within organisation.

* To work with the HR Manager and other HR team members to introduce new initiatives, policies and procedures to enhance Associate understanding and ‘buy in’.

* In conjunction with other HR team members, advise and take appropriate actions in order to maintain and uphold high standards of conduct and Associate expectation, including but not limited to matters that would arise under Health and Safety regulations.

* To be proactive, positive and professional in all activities by making contributions in the form of suggestions and proposals for the improvement of the job function, performance or any area that will enhance or improve the service the HR team provides.

* To assist with any day to day activity that may be undertaken in order to maintain best quality service and performance levels of the organisation during periods of difficulty
