ABOUT THE SERVICE MANAGER ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to step into the role of Domestic Abuse Refuge Manager and lead our service in West London. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave from February 2025. You will work with a passionate and committed team focused on delivering essential support and safe accommodation to women and children at risk of domestic abuse. In this role, you will guide the ongoing development of the service and the team, ensuring the highest standards of care and best practices are maintained throughout this crucial period.
Penrose Women's Refuge: Provides support and accommodation to women and children at risk of domestic abuse. The Children and Family Worker will work in partnership with the mums and support mentor to ensure holistic and trauma informed support for children living in the service. This includes developing a range of age appropriate activities, support with accessing schooling and education and supporting the mums during a challenging time. As a team, you will work to develop a structure and a safe space for women and children to heal and thrive. Due to the nature of the service the post code has been removed however, service is based in West London.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 9:00AM - 17:00PM, Onsite this is a service based role. You will also be required to take part in our rota for out of hours on call duty.
Salary: £37,000

What are we looking for from a Service Manager?
* Due to the nature of the service, it is an occupational requirement that the post holder is female and the post is therefore exempt from the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 in terms of Schedule 9, Part 1, and Paragraph 1 of the Act
* Understanding and/or experience of working with people who have been affected by domestic abuse
* Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
* IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
* Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
