Site Supervisor:

About the Role
Murphy has an exciting opportunity for a site supervisor to work on one of our high-profile energy projects.
You will be working with the team on one of our Gas projects where you will be responsible for making sure the operatives are trained, skilled and able to carry out works in a safe, timely and competent manner, using the appropriate materials and plant equipment.
Working in partnership with our site managers and site engineers to ensure all scope of works are delivered to schedule, discussing, and resolving any delivery issues that may occur.
What you’ll be doing:
Review the scope of works to be carried out with the Project and/or Site Engineers, identifying and agreeing safe systems of work to be employed.
Liaise with the Works Superintendent/Site Manager to ensure a timely requisition for sufficient plant and equipment is made, giving adequate notice to Resources.
Arrange that all operatives in the gangs are given site inductions prior to starting work on site. In conjunction with the works Superintendent/Site manager Produce and deliver daily briefings prior to commencing any activity.
Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) at the start of each shift identifying any new risks and control measure required and briefing them to the site team.
Responsible for site personnel having the correct authorisations to operate plant or receive permits.
Monitor site personnel to make sure they have the correct PPE and welfare facilities on site.
Take ownership of daily prestart and weekly inspections of all plant are carried out and recorded.
Ensure all lifting equipment and accessories are compliant with LOLER procedures and LOLER register is up to date.
Ensure all site materials are stored in a safe and secure manner, waste materials are removed from site promptly and good housekeeping is maintained at all times.
Communicate safety alerts and information to all persons involved in construction operations.
Cooperate with the Project Manager to investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
Responsible that site records are handed over to the Engineer on a weekly basis for final records to be produced in a timely manner.
Ensure that all Foremen, Leading Hands and Operatives have the latest access maps, and all restrictions are clearly noted in toolbox talks.
Complete daily allocation sheets, showing the daily progress, operatives names, rates, works numbers, hours worked, plant and vehicles (hired and BB owned) utilised and work carried out.
Monitor time keeping by operatives ensuring accurate time sheets are submitted to the site manager.
