£45K-£50K (negotiable dependant on experience)

What will you be doing:

Perform design, research, and development activities, ensuring project completion on time, within budget, and to agreed standards.
Plan design and R&D activities according to contract requirements and monitor them with the Engineering Manager to meet deadlines and budget.
Engage in regular design reviews to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
Understand and balance quality, cost, and delivery implications to find optimal technical solutions.
Ensure designs meet customer specifications and keep internal teams informed of production requirements and design releases.
Create, maintain and update BOM with estimated costs and communicate changes to relevant teams.

What are we looking for:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or qualified by experience.
Engineering design and analytical skills e.g. DFMEA
3D modelling expertise in SolidWorks
Experience with material selection e.g. composite, plastics, ferrous, non-ferrous, and more.
Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal communication style.
