Job Title: Yard Operative

Company Overview: A well-established company specializing in construction materials, they are known for our high standards of customer service and the quality of our products. We’re looking for a dedicated Yard Operative to join our team and help maintain our yard's efficiency and organization.

Job Summary: The Yard Operative will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and ensuring the cleanliness of our yard, as well as loading, unloading, and managing inventory. This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks and requires someone with good physical stamina, a keen eye for safety, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload goods, equipment, and materials from trucks and other vehicles.
Organize and store products in the yard, ensuring efficient use of space and easy access.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
Assist customers or drivers with loading and unloading as required, ensuring excellent service.
Perform routine yard maintenance to keep the area clean, safe, and organized.
Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:

Prior experience in a yard or warehouse role is preferred but not essential.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items
Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
