Barker Ross is supporting a client who is recruiting for a Site Engineer to work at their site in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The Site Engineer is responsible to ensure the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across the ambient site.

You will provide solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies.

This role has a 70% mechanical 30% electrical bias split.

Shifts are 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, working Monday to Friday.

Essential Skills Required:

* Experience of, maintenance for machinery and processes.
* Preferably food or packing experience.
* Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion.
* Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery, identifying root cause in repair process.
* Carrying out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategy.
* Complete risk assessments/method statements to ensure safe running of all factory equipment and processes § Identify and report all stock /spares issues.
* Liaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimum downtime of production equipment.
* Prioritise own work load with consideration to output, product quality and line efficiency.
* Proactive approach to identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficiencies.
* Complete all line checks and documentation as required.
* To assist in the training and development of new starters.
* To act as a role model for best practice.
* Monitor, control and minimise waste.
* Play an active part in continuous improvement.
* To participate in the companies PDP program.
* To act as specialist for machinery knowledge.
* Drive own personal development through training and work based experience.
* Manage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise.
* To adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company Health, Safety and Quality regulations.
* Provide a service based on Reliability, Quality and Repeatability, which is both measurable and auditable.
* To ensure that all areas comply with hygiene audits, both internal and external.
* To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
* To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
* Support Management team in development of standardised systems across Region.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Requirements:

Essential Desirable
* Working knowledge of 240/415v power and distribution § Working knowledge of control circuits 24v and control philosophy.
* Working knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
* H&S L2 Qualification.
* First Aid.
* Fire Marshall

Salary for this opportunity is up to £45k plus company benefits.
