Job Title: Receptionist/Administrator
Salary: £13.12 per hour
Location: Bolton
This is a temp–perm position, 7.30 am – 4.00 pm Monday – Thursday, 7.30 am – 1 pm Friday.
We are seeking someone to work for our client an Engineering company based in Bolton. The successful candidate will initially be working on Reception answering incoming calls, dealing with visitors, and making refreshments when necessary. The successful candidate will eventually be trained to liaise with the commercial and production team to provide support across various engineering-related admin tasks such as processing incoming enquiries, raising quotations, follow up for quotations.
Key Responsibilities once trained
* Respond to incoming enquiries from customers and suppliers via email and telephone
* Process orders updating and maintaining internal systems.
* Liaise with internal and external customers as required
* Communicate effectively with internal customers to develop effective working processes and continuously improve process
* Generate paperwork for production planning
* Scan and attach drawings and product information applying document control.
* Liaise with the production team on order progression to inform and update customers
* Organise and schedule meetings, visits, and appointments
* Welcome and book visitors on to site
* Proactively support Company safety initiatives improving health and safety in the working environment
Requirements
* Experience in an administrative role in an engineering/manufacturing environment
* Experience in a customer facing role
* Experience of building positive relationships with customer and suppliers
* Strong Microsoft office proficiency (teams, excel, word and outlook)
* Able to communication at all levels
* Good organisational skills, attention to detail and record keeping
* Ability to work individually but also as part of a team.
* Understanding of Sales and Operations functions
* Confident in all interactions and communications
