Software Engineer – £(Apply online only)pd PAYE – 12-month contract – Remote – Global Tech

Role & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with PMs and Designers to define feature specifications and build next-generation consumer-facing features using React.
Independently design, develop, and complete large features end-to-end, taking ownership of key system areas.
Identify and drive continuous improvements to codebases, product areas, and system performance.
Work with Health & Foundations and infrastructure teams to maintain a sustainable and high-performance app.
Mentor teammates by identifying inefficiencies, driving solutions, and improving team productivity.
Build front-end frameworks to enable faster, higher-quality product development across teams.
Develop scalable and maintainable web applications, implementing robust UI components.
Ensure performance optimisation and seamless user experiences at scale. 
Essential Skills & Experience:

3+ years of experience designing and completing medium-to-large features independently
3+ years of experience identifying and implementing application improvements
Hands-on experience using React
Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Strong experience in building reusable, high-performance UI components
Proficiency in Object-Oriented JavaScript Frameworks
Experience with architectural design for complex front-end systems
Proven ability to build testable and maintainable codebases, including API design and unit testing
Strong debugging and performance benchmarking skills
Experience in developing and launching large-scale web applications supporting millions of users
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 
Package:

Day rate - £(Apply online only)pd PAYE
15% bonus
100% remote role
12-month contract
