Have you got experience working as one to one with pupils either at Primary or Secondary level?
Would you like to support children with outside of mainstream school settings?
This tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant or have any experience working with children with additional needs and are looking for some flexible work.
This tutor role involves working with children who may have additional needs or looked after. Being able to provide educational sessions, face to face with children at their homes or a local area e.g., library. Skills and experience such as planning resources around the child’s needs, (this could be likely on developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science) and keeping the child engaged with tasks are essential in this role.
The location for this would vary dependent on the need of the pupil but would be pre-agreed prior to commencement of the tuition. All pupils for this role however will be based in the Nottinghamshire area which has extensive transport links by road, bus, or train.
What are we looking for in a tutor?
Have experience working with children or young people.
Able to plan and deliver core and cross-curricular engaging sessions.
Applying skills to get pupils education back up to speed.
Managing and implementing different behaviour strategies.
Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback. This can be done via assessments.
Desirable – SEN experience
To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.

Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 09:00 -16:00 approximately.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
