My client in Yeovil is looking for a CNC Turner due to expansion.

This role will include:

* Set and operate CNC lathes, some of which have live tooling

* Check and inspect own work using inspection equipment (Verniers, micrometres, SPG’s and PPG’s)

* In process inspection to ensure total process control is maintained

* Manufacture components from engineering drawings to the correct quality standards

* Ensure that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current process on job cards

* Ensure that preventative machine maintenance schedules are strictly carried out

* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times

Skills and experience required:

* Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent (indentures accepted)

* Knowledge of Fanuc control systems

* Aerospace industry experience desired

* Experience working with engineering drawings and work to instructions i.e. job cards

* Ability to set and operate different machine tools

* PC literate

Hours: Day shift: 39 hours per week

Early/ Late shift rotation: 35 hours per week average (basic rate + 18% enhancement) Night shift: 46 hours per week (basic rate +50% enhancement)

Salary: 37k
