Our established manufacturing Client is seeking a Quality Inspector.

Salary: Competitive

Location: Hoo commute requires own transport.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm

Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm (37.5 hours per week).

The role is offered as a permanent full time role working days.

The Quality Inspector role will:

* Providing support to the Quality Manager with the completion of daily general quality tasks.

* Support the Commercial department in the execution of customer enquiries and complaints.

* During the performance of this role the role holder will be required to complete some tasks in an office-based environment. Other tasks will take place in a shop-floor environment.

Quality Inspector skills and experience required:

* Experience in mechanical inspection.

* Routine calibration of gauging, measuring and test equipment.

* Ability to process and, where required, investigate customer complaints and returns.

* Experience of investigating internal and external quality problems.

* Excellent written skills. Good organisational skills.

* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.

* Ability to work on own initiative and as well as part of a busy team.

* Ability to plan, to work and to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and deadlines are achieved.

* Conversant ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Statistical Process Control.

* Able to read and understand engineering drawings and Bills of Material.

* Able to demonstrate related experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment
