Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Primary School in S5, Sheffield
Salary: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position at a primary school in the S5 area of Sheffield. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils in English and Maths during a crucial stage of their academic journey.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support in English and Maths.
* Assist in delivering tailored learning plans to meet the needs of individual students.
* Help with classroom management and preparing lesson resources.
* Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
* Work with pupils who may require additional support, including those with learning difficulties or special educational needs.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably with KS2 pupils.
* Strong knowledge of the Y5/Y6 English and Maths curriculum.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities.
* A patient, flexible, and caring approach to working with children.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
