We are now recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join an established business based in the Dudley area. The Quality Engineer will report into the Quality Manager and will be responsible for investigating any quality issues, carrying out inspection processes and also working on audits for existing and new suppliers. This will be a varied role working and liaising with the team on any projects.

As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for :

* Carry out inspection process for IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC

* Investigating any quality issues

* Carry out supplier audits for new and existing suppliers

* Prepare relevant documentation (QMS/EMS)

* Problem solving to reduce the number of issues/customer complaints

* Working with the resourcing team to reduce cost

* Develop and monitor QC/QA with new suppliers

* Collate and prepare Quality data

Requirements:

* A good knowledge of Quality Management systems (ISO 9001)

* Engineering/Science degree, HND/HNC or relevant work experience

* Experience of internal/external quality auditing

* Experience of MRP/ERP systems

* Experience of carrying out quality control/inspection checks

* Able to read engineering drawings and specifications

* Analytical and problem solving abilities

* Excellent communication skills

* Knowledge of ISO 13485 would be an advantage
