Job Title: R&D Scientist (Bioprocess Analytics and Automation) - Global Biopharmaceutical
Contract: 12 months
Location: Slough
Salary: £17.96 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

This is a great opportunity for a graduate in a biochemistry related degree looking for their first role in the industry. 0-2 years industry experience is required for this role.

This role is for a R&D Scientist position in the Bioprocess and Automation Team, part of the Protein and Process Analytics R&D group, whose function is to deliver high-value technical innovation. The position will provide analytical support using a range of analytical methods, including ELISA, PCR and liquid chromatography (SEC, PrA affinity, RP) to R&D projects, as well as more general analytical testing as required.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Perform experiments, analyze and report results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Insure that results are accurate and that the scientific conclusions are meaningful and linked to experimental goals
Develop skills and expertise in the Bioprocess area (e.g. ELISA, PCR, HPLC), with a focus on use and optimization of automation (e.g. liquid handler) equipment
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelors/Masters in Biochemistry, Biology or Biomanufacturing.
Experience with protein chemistry would be desirable.
