Abatec is assisting their client, a reputable, regional civil engineering and groundworks contractor with the recruitment of a freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Gloucestershire area.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position and a working knowledge of NEC, JCT, and Bespoke contracts on commercial and domestic groundworks projects

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

* Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance, and finance targets.

* Take control of change management.

* Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.

Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:

* Previous experience working for Groundworks or Civil Engineering contractors.

* NEC, JCT, and Bespoke contract experience

* Strong commercial awareness and acumen.

* Degree, or similar, in Quantity Surveying.

* A working knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Excel and Word.

* A valid UK driving license.

Salary and benefits include:

* £400 - £450 LTD
