An enthusiastic Site Operative to help support the day-to-day activities and on-site activations for Chord. We are looking for a committed team member to assist our team in the smooth running of our jobs on site, including warehouse preparations and logistics.

More about us

Entering our nineth year in operation, we have gained a reputation in the market for providing exceptional quality products and service. We work collaboratively with our clients, supporting some of the most recognisable and premium brands in the world at high profile, international events.

We take great pride in providing best-in-class temporary structures. As a result, we are looking to build a team of individuals who share this level of pride in their work and who are highly motivated to ensure the best possible finish for our clients. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail across all aspects of what we do from warehouse maintenance to the finish on builds. As a fast-growing business, we are keen to take on someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and support the business on its steep trajectory, which means that this job description isn’t exhaustive, and we expect it to evolve over time with excellent opportunities to progress within the business.

Help to deliver the installation and dismantle programme of our temporary structures, supporting the team with the overall project delivery:

• To follow procedures (company and legislative) and Health & Safety rules while on site.

• To report any issues or concerns to the Foreman/Site Operations Manager - both on site and in the warehouse.

• To attend team briefings prior to any jobs commencing and debriefing meetings following every dismantle.

• To assist with loading all vehicles at the yard ready for departure for a job.

• To be on stand-by rota for live days.

What we like in a team member

• As part of a small team, chemistry and comradery is very important.

• We are looking for accountability and ownership of all our team members and encourage honesty and a supportive environment – we don’t tolerate a blame culture.

• We aim to minimise manual handling wherever possible, however, there will still be a large element of manual handling, so the candidate will need to be physically fit and prepared for this.

• We work hard but encourage a light-hearted and fun working environment.

• A solutions-based approach to managing issues that come up on site and being proactive in suggesting solutions is encouraged.

• We expect the candidate to be a positive advocate and representative for Chord when dealing with all clients, suppliers and co-workers when on-site to help protect the Chord reputation.
