Overview: We have been awarded a multi-year framework to manage and execute large-scale on-site asset maintenance activities. We aim to optimize the operation of water, wastewater, and energy production systems. The role involves delivering engineering and design services and coordinating designs across the framework to ensure efficiency, compliance, and best value.

Responsibilities:

* Support and administer the design management function, helping define design scope and parameters.

* Advise on and implement design strategies, including the appointment of designers.

* Administer design management processes and procedures across the MSP contract.

* Assist in resource planning and demand forecasting for engineering and design resources.

* Monitor and manage design package delivery to ensure program, budget, and quality compliance.

* Ensure safe, buildable, and operable design solutions through suitable design review processes.

* Monitor compliance with technical standards and pursue efficiency opportunities.

* Facilitate adherence to the MSP design approvals process and provide input into governance processes.

* Guide designers on project scope, optimal design, and value for money solutions.

* Engage with stakeholders for support and consistent reporting of project performance.

* Contribute to managing change, mitigating risks, and developing solutions to project issues.

* Support continuous improvement through metrics, best practices, innovation, and technology.

* Support initiatives for proactive maintenance and net-zero/carbon agendas.

Requirements:

* Understanding of customer impact and strong collaboration skills.

* Technical understanding of water and wastewater processes.

* Commercial and contractual appreciation.

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

* Knowledge of the project lifecycle and CDM (2015) Regulations.

* Flexible, proactive, and inquisitive with a passion for best performance.

* HNC/HND or degree in relevant engineering discipline.

* Progress towards Chartered status with a relevant body.

* Driving License.

* 3+ years of design coordination experience, preferably in the water industry.
