Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + Benefits

We are recruiting for an Essex based UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who provide the full range of asbestos management services to Commercial, Industrial, and Domestic sites across the UK. Due to continued success, they are now looking to take on a hardworking and observant Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team. You will be working with their established team, carrying out bulk sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy, completing job sheets, calibrating equipment and maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation. This role would suit someone who is looking to join a company with a family friendly feel who can offer furtherer training and career development, enrolment to company pension scheme and excellent holiday allowance.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Rayleigh, Hockley, South Benfleet, Wickford, Stanford-le-Hope, Rochford, Canvey Island, Romford, Rainham, Tilbury.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401 Qualification.
" Experience working hands on as an Asbestos Lab Analyst for a UKAS accreted Asbestos Consultancy.
" Well versed in HSG 248 guidelines.
" Able to communicate efficiently.
" Excellent IT skills & a keen eye for detail.

The Role:

" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out bulk sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Entering samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Safely bagging and correctly labelling asbestos samples.
" Ensuring to complete job sheets upon completion of analysis, returning to clients in a timely manner.
" Ensuring equipment is correctly calibrated to get the most accurate results.
" Assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Ensuring the lab is always kept clean and tidy.
" Helping in the training of new starters.
" Liaising with clients when required, providing excellent support and technical advice.
