A graduate/trainee Bid Writer is required to join a leading Infrastructure company, highly regarded in the region with an excellent reputation for staff retention and development

Role

The role will be embedded within the Work Winning Pre Construction Team and is a key role to meet the ever increasing demands of quality requirements in public sector bidding, particularly targeting framework opportunities.

As a Bid Writer you will be involved in the day to day completion of ongoing bids and have the ability to write effective, concise and compelling content to deadlines. The role involves monitoring upcoming opportunities, writing submissions for tenders, liaising with our operational construction teams and department heads, undertaking research and writing persuasive responses.

Responsibilities (please note that full training will be given)

* Write effective, concise and compelling content for PQQ’s/ EOI / ITT’s to tight deadlines.

* Develop writing plans with the wider team.

* Undertake effective research and write persuasive responses on factual information gleamed from a variety of sources in a format which is both interesting and comprehensive.

* Production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals.

* Interviewing team members to help formulate responses.

* Work within portals to deal with queries and changes in documentation, communicating them within the wider team.

* Manage Tender Query Process.

* Work with and support technical teams and department heads to develop their specific responses.

* Documentation review and sharing contents and requirements with the wider team.

* Attend site visits if necessary to aid responses.

* Editing.

* Proof reading.

* Submit tenders through portals.

* Support a team of estimators to pull together full quality requirements for tender submissions and advise of tender quality requirements from an early stage.

* Support Information Coordinator with creation of case studies, updating model answers library, award entries and accreditation requirements.

* Content writing to support marketing functions and business development.

Candidates should have:

* Excellent communication skills

* High attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability

* Excellent literacy skills

* Excellent IT skills – Knowledge of Adobe InDesign would be beneficial

* Team Player

* Reliability

* Ability to work to deadlines

* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload

* Time management

* Ability to build and develop relationships internally and externally to the business
