Our client, is seeking a Senior Planning Officer to join their planning team on a contract basis. You will be part of a dedicated group of professionals committed to the development management of the borough. With a focus on handling various planning applications, ranging from major to strategic, this role is vital to the sustainable growth and future planning of the area.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing and managing planning applications, including major and strategic proposals
Advising on and facilitating effective service delivery for the borough
Collaborating with planning policy and enforcement teams
Attending developer meetings and planning committees
Ensuring decisiveness and ambition in discharging statutory functions
Providing comprehensive planning support across all levels

Job Requirements:

Experience at a Senior Planner level from a local authority or private sector background
Background in development management
Proven capability in handling both minor and major planning applications
Degree in a related subject or equivalent relevant experience and knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
