Job Title: CNC Machinist – Night Shift
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive DOE + Night Shift Allowance (x1.33)
Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday (17:00pm – 03:00am, 40hr week)
 
Our highly established and award-winning client based in Letchworth Garden City are looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team on the Night Shift pattern, on a Permanent basis.
 
We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist who can showcase great knowledge of the methods, systems, and machinery that our client uses.
 
About the role:
Responsible for operating their brand new Hurco TMX8MYi VDI Turret lathe and Hurco VMX42Ti mill. They are looking to continue to grow and expand their machining service with future planned machine purchases.
 
Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist:

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Programming Hurco CNC lathe & Mill using Hurco MAX 5 controls
Loading and setting machines accordingly to maximise production output
Ensure all jobs are completed on time and to the desired quality
Measure parts to ensure they are within specification
Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures
Maintaining equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements  
Requirements as a CNC Machinist:

High attention to detail – work to tight dimensional tolerances
Has previous experience using Hurco MAX 5 Controls
5 years + programming, setting and operating CNC lathes & Mills
Self-motivated and driven
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently without daily supervision
