Financial Controller – Permanent – Shrewsbury – Part Time
L & C Consulting are currently recruiting on behalf of a successful, privately owned manufacturer in Shrewsbury for a new part time, Financial Controller. This SME, operating out of it’s modern site is looking for an experienced, Accounts Professional to join them on a permanent basis. You’ll be expected to work c21 hours per week. There will be the option to work from home 1 or 2 days a week, but you will also need to be able to work from the office at least 1 day a week.
This role is a senior post within the business and requires a person with the right, practical and ‘hands on’ approach and communication skills as well as technical proficiency. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Checking & Reconciling company bank statements
* Monthly & Weekly payroll processing
* VAT & PAYE Reconciliations
* Producing Monthly Management Accounts
* Asset control & Depreciation
* Budget & Cash Flow forecasts
* Support to the Purchase ledger controller
* Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
* HR support
Professional skills and experiences:
* You will have worked in a similar accounts based role
* You must be experienced in all aspects of Bookkeeping
* Ideally hold an AAT level 4 (or equivalent) qualification
* Able to Manage Payroll
* Good Excel & Xero Knowledge

* Must be able to work within a professional team environment
* Must have excellent communication skills
* Have a high degree of commercial acumen and the ability to use management and financial information to support the development and growth of the business
* Accuracy and attention to detail at all times
* Have an ability to help team members with a 'can do', positive attitude
* Have a discrete yet confident, outgoing, professional manner
* Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities
* Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
* Must be able to work under own initiative with limited supervisory support
The Shrewsbury facility is commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Newport, Welshpool, Shifnal etc
