HGV Class 2 Driver / Drainage Engineer

The Role: HGV Class 2 Driver / Drainage Engineer

Starting on a temporary contract, this role has the potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities
 
Drive and operate various HGV Class 2 drainage vehicles, including Vacuum Tankers, Liquid Waste Tankers and Combi Units.
Work closely with a skilled operative to assist in the operation of machinery for the clearance and maintenance of surface water and foul water drainage systems.
You will be working for a variety of customers including commercial, domestic and water boards, maintaining their drainage network.
Shift Patterns

Gully and Combi Work
Day Shift – 06:00 - 16:00
Night Shift – 17:00 - 03:00
Exact start and finish times will vary due to the nature of the work
Tankering 
Day Shift - 06:00 - 18:00
Night Shift - 18:00 - 06:00
The above times are on site time and you will need to arrive at the depot early to allow for travel time to site, this travel time will be paid.
Pay Rates
 
Days – £12.75 - £13.13 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience
Nights - £15.94 - £16.41 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience
Enhanced rate after 10 hours per shift.
Requirements
 
HGV Class 2 Licence with valid CPC.
Previous drainage experience or experience driving and operating Combi Units and/or Waste Tankers would be beneficial.
