We are looking for an experienced Auto-CAD Technician to join our client's dynamic engineering team in Aberdeen. You will play a crucial role in producing multi-discipline drawings and documents for various projects and enquiries, ensuring high-quality results that meet both internal and external specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, contributing to the successful delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Role

Generate detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models using Autodesk software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
Maintain and update the CAD library, ensuring components, templates, and standards are current and accessible.
Conduct quality reviews of drawings and models to ensure they meet internal and external requirements.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement teams throughout project lifecycles.
Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and work instructions.
Ensure that design evaluation and validation meet customer requirements and compliance standards.
Distribute drawings and documents to relevant parties internally and externally.
Assist with project-related enquiries and provide technical support when needed.
Obtain quotations for project materials and equipment, reporting on work status as necessary.
Liaise with certification body surveyors and suppliers as required.
Participate in continual improvement processes and safety meetings, ensuring compliance with QHSE standards.

Requirements:

Recognised technical qualification or 5 years of similar work experience.
Strong knowledge of DNV 2.7-1 structures.
Fully competent in the use of AutoCAD software packages.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
