SEN Tutor - Outreach Tutor
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Maths and English Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people that will need extra support in their Maths and English.
You must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in their education and boost engagement and attainment levels, and if needed, work alongside a TA to support the YP.
We will work with you to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location - Islington
Position - SEN Maths and English Tutor
Start date - ASAP
Duration / Likely Duration - Until we are able to locate a suitable school placement for him.
Contract type - Temporary
Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour
Hours - To be confirmed but will take place during the school day.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, or PGCE is mandatory
6 months+ experience working in a UK school or teaching the UK Curriculum
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
