Job Title: Shipping Administrator (Import & Export) (Part time)

We are currently seeking an experienced Shipping Administrator with strong import and export knowledge to join our dynamic team. If you're looking for a challenging role where your expertise in shipping logistics and regulatory compliance will make an impact, we want to hear from you!

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Working in a small, collaborative team, the role of the Shipping & General Office Administrator will be to arrange and to manage relevant customs documentation for UK/Worldwide shipments of laser systems and spare parts.

Duties and responsibilities:

Sales order processing
Credit Control
Liaising with freight forwarders and couriers
Liaising with customers and suppliers to arrange UK and worldwide shipments
Obtaining quotes from freight forwarders and couriers
Dealing with customs queries and resolving issues
Import customs clearance instructions
Maintaining and understanding export and import records, obtaining C88, Import/export entries and AWB querying when necessary
Support the service department with admin, preparing quotations, packaging and shipment
General Office tasks 
 
What we are looking for in the right candidate:

Experience in Export compliance and shipping is essential
Good decision-making skills, ability to evaluate, prioritise and plan while responding to quickly changing workloads
A methodical, logical approach with good problem-solving abilities
Conscientious with a high level of attention to detail
Able to work on their own initiative within a time critical setting and as part of a team
Customer focused
