We are currently recruiting for a Estimator for one our clients on a permanent basis in Teesside due to continue growth and success . The role is full time in the office and includes a competitive salary based on experience
The role involves the following responsibilities:
Review and process Purchase Order Requisitions from customers.
Prepare estimates from client enquiry packages, for review and pricing by the Proposals Manager.
Analyse and interpret client specifications.
Prepare and present detailed quotations.
Coordinate with manufacturing departments during the bid preparation process.
Collaborate across departments and with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely information.
Review and analyse client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine project requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, sales, and project management to gather information for proposals.
Develop accurate and detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
Ensure all proposals comply with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.
Present proposal documents and conduct presentations for clients when needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, technical advancements, and competitor activity.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain relevant quotations and technical data.
Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in estimating and/or sales is ideal.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of welds, fabrication, and stainless alloys.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project) is preferred.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus, but not essential.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
A good understanding of health & safety, environmental considerations, and quality standards
