A leading main contractor is seeking a Project Manager to take charge of new-build and design and build projects up to £15M in Braintree and surrounding areas. Operating across commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial sectors, this contractor has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, client-focused construction solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of new-build projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

* Develop and maintain project programmes, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to keep progress on track.

* Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

* Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value engineering at every stage.

* Uphold and enforce Health & Safety best practices, maintaining full compliance with industry regulations.

* Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams, acting as a trusted project leader.

* Ensure exceptional quality control, maintaining high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements

* Experience as a Project Manager, delivering new-build and refurbishment projects up to £15M.

* A stable and progressive career history, demonstrating long-term commitment and career growth.

* Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills, with the ability to drive productivity on-site.

* Commercially aware, with experience managing design and build contracts, procurement, and project costs.

* Highly proficient in programme management and problem-solving, ensuring efficient project delivery.

* Relevant qualifications including CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, and Temporary Works Coordinator.
