Water Hygiene Engineer

An expanding company in the water treatment industry, established in 1999, is seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer to join its growing team. The role offers a mobile, field-based position primarily covering the Southeast of the UK.

Key duties of a Water Hygiene Engineer:

* Carry out routine water hygiene monitoring tasks in compliance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and HSG standards.

* Collect and document water samples from various properties.

* Complete and submit all work documentation promptly.

* Perform system cleanings and disinfections in line with company procedures.

* Test, service, and monitor thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs).

* Conduct simple remedial plumbing tasks if qualified.

* Perform analysis, testing, and dosing of closed water systems.

* Understand and follow procedures for flushing low-temperature hot water and chilled systems, using system pumps or temporary flushing rigs per BSRIA guidelines.

* Carry out analysis and testing of chlorine dioxide systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Experience in water hygiene and a genuine interest in the industry (training will be provided).

* Full UK driving licence.

* Ability to pass a full DBS check (company-paid).

* Valid CSCS card.

* Experience in flushing/chemical cleaning to BISRA standards is required for higher salary expectations.

* Strong customer communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Basic IT skills.

* Plumbing experience is beneficial.
