Job Title – Multiskilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

My client is a global leading provider in Facilities Management and they are looking for a Multiskilled Engineer to join the team located in Rugby. This role is supporting the EDF contract, looking after all the mechanical services of the facility. The Engineer will be responsible for all ppm reactive maintenance ensuring the facility is operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements

* Ensure all work requests are carried out within SLA

* Work closely with manager, supervisor, peers

* Ability to carry out fault diagnosis on mechanical equipment

* Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems and LOTO

* Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices

* Support Manager and Supervisor to ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes

* Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required

* Ensure logbooks, shift hand-over and the client’s reporting is updated regularly and accurately

* Identify and report potential hazards

* Participate in on call rota

Person Specification

* Mechanical Qualification/Certification from a known institution

* Comprehensive mechanical experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance

* Experience in multi skilled disciplines (mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting and carpentry)

* Ability to demonstrate a good use of excel, word and outlook
