About the Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in a fast-paced team, ensuring the secure and efficient management of the supply chain across various trades and services. Your expertise in the repairs and construction industry, coupled with a deep understanding of National Federation Rates for services, will be essential to the success of our projects.

You will lead a team responsible for the financial oversight of both individual projects and annual budgets, guaranteeing value for money and compliance at all stages. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll contribute to the strategic development of our services, bringing innovative ideas to improve operations, enhance service delivery, and drive commercial growth in specific trades and services.

About You

We are seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude who is ready to join our team and help deliver exceptional services to customers across Haringey. Ideally, you will have experience of overseeing commercial projects and work programmes within a public sector setting. Working across multiple operational teams, you will have a background in contract procurement and thorough understanding the associated compliance policies, as well as managing within a robust contract management framework. You will have expertise in securing value for money and delivering high-quality service.

The successful candidate will ensure the best commercial structure for delivering services to our customers, overseeing the integrity of our works scheduling system and its database, and ensuring its links to remuneration and pay elements are designed to drive the right service improvement behaviours and activities.

While experience in the repairs field is highly desirable, a solid background in the building trades is essential, and we encourage all applicants to review the job description carefully before applying.
