Salary: £14.50ph - £16ph

Overview:

Concept Resources is partnering with a client in Birmingham seeking a skilled Despatch Coordinator to join their team. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, high IT literacy, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately. The Despatch Coordinator will be responsible for planning and consolidating shipments, ensuring quality control, and supporting efficient operations to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Order Management: Book jobs into dispatch promptly using approved software. Update and manage information on the ERP system to maintain accurate records.

- Quality Control: Review manufactured items against engineering drawings, identifying and reporting any non-conformances to the Quality Coordinator or Production Manager.

- Machine Operation: Operate a laser marking machine to log customer details and specific requirements.

- Cross-Department Collaboration: Build a strong rapport with the Production Manager to ensure customer deadlines are met and collaborate with the admin and shipping departments to maintain dispatch lead times.

- Packaging: Safely and securely pack items to ensure they arrive in pristine condition for the customer.

- Organisational Skills: Exhibit strong organisational abilities to manage dispatch priorities and workflow effectively.

- Continuous Improvement: Be open to cross-training in other areas of the business and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and efficiency.

- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, respecting diverse opinions and ideas.

Qualifications:

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP/EDI systems.

* Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Competencies:

* Strong customer service skills, effective planning, attention to safety, initiative, and innovative thinking.
