Accelerate Teaching is dedicated to connecting exceptional professionals with schools that require their unique skills and experience. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Minibus Driver to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Wakefield, starting in September 2024.

The Role: As a Minibus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of pupils to and from the Pupil Referral Unit. This position requires a responsible individual with a strong sense of duty and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport pupils to and from the Pupil Referral Unit, ensuring their well-being at all times.
Maintain the minibus in a clean and roadworthy condition, conducting daily checks and reporting any issues promptly.
Adhere to all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive and respectful environment.
Assist with the supervision of pupils during transit, ensuring their behaviour is managed effectively.
Follow designated routes and schedules, maintaining punctuality and reliability.About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

Proven experience as a Minibus Driver, ideally within an educational setting.
A full, clean UK driving licence with a D1 category.
Excellent driving skills with a strong awareness of road safety and regulations.
The ability to manage and support young people, demonstrating patience and understanding.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.What We Offer:
