Permanent Role: Teacher of English

The school is seeking an individual who can bring deep knowledge, creativity, and expertise to the classroom, inspiring students to cultivate a love for English and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver, and assess dynamic English lessons that align with the national curriculum.

* Set clear behavioural expectations and maintain a positive, productive atmosphere both in the classroom and around the school.

* Establish learning targets based on students’ prior achievements and incorporate both formative and summative assessments into weekly and termly planning.

* Contribute to the wider school community, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.

* Work flexibly as part of the team, assisting with curriculum delivery and providing pastoral support to students.

* Teach Key Stage 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 (KS5) depending on your experience.

What We’re Looking For:

* Qualified teachers, including ECTs and experienced QTS professionals, are encouraged to apply.

* Proven experience teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 is a bonus).

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to make complex ideas engaging and accessible.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

* A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/QTLS) for secondary education.

* An enhanced DBS disclosure (subject to checks).

* A complete employment and education history, including explanations for any employment gaps.
