Project Manager (Regional Construction Contractor)

A leading regional contractor is looking to recruit for a Project Manager to project lead on a £10 million refurb project in the Worcester area.

The company have enjoyed steady growth and turnover around £100million, whilst winning numerous awards including the BITC Responsible Business Award and the UKCG Employer of the year. The company incorporate family values and work with a collaborative forward-thinking attitude. The company have recently secured numerous projects, and therefore require a talented Project Manager who can project lead on a project from start to finish whilst having a support from a visiting contracts manager.

Their schemes range in value from £5-25m with schemes averaging around the £8m mark. Their projects vary in market sector and include: Healthcare, Commercial & Residential.

The Project Manager Role

Ideally, they are looking for an autonomous Project Manager capable of managing construction schemes over the values of £7 million independently. Main Contractor experience is essential.

As the Project Manager, you will report Directly into a visiting Contracts Manager that can offer as much or little support as is needed. You will be expected to take overall accountability for a given project and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery with the assistance of a visiting QS to ensure profitability.

This contractor has built some fantastic relationships with several sub-contractors across the Midlands and as project Manager you will be responsible for the day to day managing of these Contractors. Typical responsibilities can be found below…

You will be responsible for all health and safety on site.
Managing all quality inspections.
Excellent communicator
Have ability to drive projects forward effectively
Be ambitious and driven to achieve tight deadlines
Experience managing projects with a value of £8million
Manage cost, quality, and time of the project with minimal supportBenefits
