Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a HGV Technician to work in their leading facility in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

For the successful HGV Technician, our client is offering:

Up to £36,000 per annum 
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with every 3rd-week call-out cover (Call out bonuses included) 
Permanent position

The Role - HGV Technician:

Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
Examine heavy vehicles for structural issues or damages
Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic issues
Fix or replace malfunctioning parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Ensure repaired parts and systems operate correctly
Discuss vehicle issues with clients or operators to understand problems better
Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
Keep up with the latest technology and techniques in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance
What our client is looking for in a HGV Technician:

Must hold City & Guilds/apprenticeship or other related qualification. - ESSENTIAL
Proven experience as a HGV Mechanic - ESSENTIAL
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of vehicles
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
Class 1 / 2 driving license - BENEFICIAL
