The Role:
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating and converting new business, with a key focus on lead generation, sales growth, and relationship management. This is a unique role that offers the opportunity to work independently, develop your own strategies, and make a direct impact on the business's success to help them achieve their growth plans for 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
· New Business Development: Take a proactive approach to identify and secure new business opportunities within the electrical contracting sector.
· Lead Generation & Conversion: Independently generate leads through networking, cold calling, and market research, successfully converting them into long-term clients.
· Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
· Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to expand the business's footprint, driving revenue and growth.
· Collaboration & Support: Work alongside internal teams (project managers, engineers) to ensure successful project completions and high client satisfaction.
· Sales Reporting: Track progress against business development targets, providing regular updates to management.
Ideal Candidate:
· Experience: Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
· Self-Starter: Ability to generate leads, manage the full sales cycle, and drive business growth independently.
· Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships and negotiate effectively.
· Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the electrical contracting market and its services is highly advantageous.
· Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel between two job sites and to customers as required, with a valid drivers license.
