Overview:

Our client, a leading manufacturer in High Wycombe, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join their production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical components and systems, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly & Wiring: Execute detailed assembly tasks, including the wiring of electrical components, cutting, stripping, crimping, and connecting wires according to technical drawings and specifications.
System Integration: Assemble and route cable harnesses, ensuring all connections are secure and meet design requirements.
Soldering & Component Installation: Accurately solder wires and install components onto connectors, terminals, and circuit boards to ensure reliable electrical connections.
Testing & Quality Control: Conduct tests such as continuity and insulation resistance on assembled units to verify they meet industry and company standards. Inspect work to ensure adherence to quality and safety guidelines before moving to final assembly.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and correct issues in wiring and assembly, including shorts, breaks, and incorrect connections, to maintain optimal production flow.
Documentation & Compliance: Read, interpret, and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings with precision. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the company's 5S policy and health, safety, and environmental standards.
Process Improvement: Engage in ongoing training to enhance skills with specialised tools and equipment. Contribute to process improvements to optimise production efficiency.
Support & Collaboration: Assist with general manufacturing tasks as needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

Proficiency in reading, writing, and interpreting English.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to accurately read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
Proficiency with hand tools specific to electrical assembly, including cutters, strippers, crimp tools, and soldering irons.
Experience with electrical testing equipment, such as continuity testers and multimeters.Desired:

Experience with complex wiring assemblies and cable harnessing.
Familiarity with computer software for data entry and information retrieval, such as Word and Excel
