Senior Town Planner
Location: Hertfordshire
Rate: £500 per day

Contract Role: Local Authority
A Local Authority in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic and operational development management of the Borough while working on a diverse range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of development management within the Borough.
Process and assess a variety of planning applications and appeals.
Deliver presentations at Planning Committees.
Represent the Local Authority at hearings and public inquiries.
Provide professional advice on planning and related legislation.
Contribute to the enforcement of planning control within the Borough.

Essential Requirements:

Comprehensive knowledge of planning legislation and related frameworks.
Proven experience in the enforcement of planning control.
Demonstrated ability to provide evidence at Public Inquiries.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
