Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Suffolk based client to recruit for a Procurement Manager.

Purpose of role:

To ensure the on-time delivery of key components and services to ensure supply of finished product to customer is delivered on-time and in-full.

Key accountabilities:

Drive supplier's development through regular performance monitoring
Work cross functionally with various departments to ensure on-time customer delivery
Drive down costs with suppliers
Obtain competitive quotes for required components
Accurately raise purchase orders with suppliers ensuring customer specifications is met
Review & approve Supplier documentation including material certification
Manage & grow staff within Procurement department

Skills and experience required:

Previous experience as a Procurement Manager within an engineering manufacturing environment
Experience in reading engineering drawings
Experience in procuring, various commodities including but not limited to, metals, castings, motors, and seal systems
Previous experience working with an MRP/ERP systems
