Part-Time Laboratory Technician required for manufacturing company based in Felixstowe.
24 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday) plus occasional Saturday or Sunday overtime.

The successful candidate will be carrying out analytical testing on raw materials and finished products. Ensuring the quality of the product range is controlled, maintained and appropriate documentation is updated and guaranteeing internal and external audit requirements.

Duties will include:
• Performing analyses and operations to agreed work plans and schedules
• Producing and reporting on time only valid accurate analytical results
• Reporting immediately out-of-specification results, non-conformances or any aspects of laboratory operation which are prejudicial to the laboratory operation / service to the line manager
• Achieving / maintaining desired level of competency in all defined operations
• Undertaking operation to comply with world class operation practices
• Signatory for all personal analytical results and preparations
• Carrying out work activities to agreed work plans and schedules following the written standard operating procedures.
Applicants must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a Microbiology, Chemistry or related discipline with previous experience of taking and analysing samples and good knowledge of testing protocols and techniques.
2 Year fixed term contract which may be extended
