TeacherActive are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join one of our partner schools in north Kent for the summer term, commencing Easter 2025. This fixed-term English Teacher position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, delivering high-quality English education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement at Key Stage 5. 

Key Responsibilities of this English Teacher role: 

Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. 

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development. 

Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of the English curriculum. 

Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement, fostering a positive learning atmosphere. 

Person Specification for this English Teacher role: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)  

Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level. 

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language. 

Ability to set high expectations and inspire students to achieve their best. 

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
