Workman's Recruitment partnering with a well-established social housing contractor that has been delivering high-quality services for over 80 years. Specialising in long-term planned capital works, cyclical decorations, major works, and retrofit schemes, collaborating with some of the UK’s largest housing associations and councils.

We are seeking a repairs supervisor to oversee a social housing retrofitting contract. This role involves you managing and supervising the installation of windows and doors, roofing (fascia, soffits, guttering, tiling), and mechanical and electrical works.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise daily site operations with a focus on planned retrofit works.

* Manage a team of multi-trade operatives and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner and, in compliance with Health and Safety.

* Conduct pre-work inspections, site setup, and post-work inspections.

* Maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, and subcontractors.

* Deliver Toolbox Talks and prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).

* Monitor team productivity and report progress to the Contracts Manager.

* Oversee on-site welfare, van checks, and safe start meetings.

Requirements:

* Full UK manual driving license

* SSSTS or SMSTS certification

* Valid CSCS card

* Previous experience in a social housing environment

* Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations

* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Salary & Package:

* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
