Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEND in mainstream and special schools.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic and personal development of all students.
Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with SEND students is essential.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, are desirable.
Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
DBS: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
