Overview:
Supply Desk are currently seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a school based in Watford on a long-term contract possibly then leading to a permanent position. The role will be starting as soon as possible on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will need to have experience in supporting children within KS1, KS2 and SEN.

About the role:
Supply Desk is partnering with a primary school in Watford to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant who will provide all-round support across Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role requires compassionate individuals who can navigate complex and challenging behaviours, ensuring that each child receives the individualized attention they need to thrive. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of tailored communication strategies and the importance of a balanced approach that combines consistency with flexibility. We are looking for resilient and solution-focused individuals who are ready to adapt to the evolving needs of our students throughout the day. The ideal candidate must:
Have the right to work within the UK
DBS registered on the update system or willing to purchase one
Have experience working with students who have complex and challenging behaviours
Be comfortable and adaptable working in different environments
Be able to support the teacher in and around the classroom
Support small groups of children
Be able to work across all key stages including SEN
