Interim Finance Systems Accountant

Location: South Manchester

Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)

Rate: £300/day (Outside IR35)

Our client, a privately owned rapidly growing business based in South Manchester, is looking a qualified Systems Accountant for an interim position to support ongoing Project and development work to their internal Finance Systems.

Role Overview: As the Interim Systems Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our client's financial systems. You will work closely with the Finance and IT teams to enhance processes, implement new features, and ensure the systems meet the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of financial systems

* Design and implement new financial reports and dashboards

* Streamline existing processes and automate manual tasks

* Provide training and support to finance team members on system usage

* Collaborate with IT on system integrations and upgrades

* Ensure data integrity and system controls are maintained

Essential Requirements:

* Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) - this is non-negotiable

* Extensive experience with ERP systems and financial software

* Strong understanding of financial processes and best practices

* Excellent project management skills

* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

* Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
