CNC Machinist Job Overview

My client is a continuously growing sub-contract manufacturer of precision-engineered machined components. They are based in Knowsley, Merseyside and have become a major manufacturer of machine components for companies both in the UK and worldwide supplying numerous large blue chip companies.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer/ Setter due to company expansion to join their night shift team running a Mazak CNC machine.

CNC Machinist Job Requirements

Live in a commutable location from Knowsley, Merseyside
Mazak programming and setting is essential for this role
Happy and willing to work night shift
Must be able to machine high precision parts with tight tolerances.
Must be Able to self-inspect machine parts ensuring adherence to drawing specifications.
Will have the ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
Expertise of using Fanuc/Siemens controls is required
Hermle experience would be an added bonus
Ideally will have worked within a busy manufacturing facility plant.
Good communication and teamwork skills
Must be able to work individually and unsupervised to achieve relevant targets.
Computer Literate including a good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and outlook beneficial.

CNC Machinist Salary & Benefits

Monday to Thursday 21.15pm- 06.45am
Overtime available
Pay £16-£20 per hour depending on experience
1/3 for shift allowance on top of hourly salary
