We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school in North Chesterfield. This full-time role involves covering a maternity leave in our Year 6 class for a fixed term of one year.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum, ensuring pupils are fully prepared for their transition to secondary school.
Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Provide tailored support to help each child achieve their potential, particularly in preparation for SATs.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous experience teaching Year 6 and a solid understanding of the expectations at this stage.
A proactive and positive approach to classroom management.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
