Site Supervisor
My client is a specialised engineering company focused on renewable energy generation projects, offering a comprehensive suite of services, including project management, design, studies, procurement, construction, and operation & maintenance. With over 10 years of experience in large-scale energy sector construction, their highly skilled engineering team delivers complex projects on time, within scope, and on budget. My client’s team is passionate about providing reliable, high-quality solutions that meet strict industry standards.
With projects located nationwide, this position involves regular travel to various sites. The Site Supervisor will oversee and manage on-site construction activities for renewable energy projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with the required standards and specifications.
Site Supervisor Requirements
* Industry knowledge in Civils/Groundworks within the Power Distribution sector (LV/HV)
* Relevant machine tickets (e.g., digger, dumper)
* NRSWA Operative certification
* SHEA Power certification
* First Aid certification
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise on-site construction activities, including excavation, foundation work, trenching, and concrete pouring
* Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and on-site personnel
* Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, drawings, and health and safety regulations
* Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines
* Conduct site inspections to maintain quality and compliance with environmental and safety standards
* Report on progress, delays, and challenges to the project management team
* Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools
* Manage materials and resources to meet project requirements
* Assist in the preparation of risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and other documentation
* Attend project meetings and provide input on construction activities
Site Supervisor Skills
* Strong knowledge of construction techniques and processes
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations
* Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite
Benefits
* Up to £45,000 per annum
* Overtime availability and door-to-door pay
