Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Academics is seeking a compassionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with a local alternative provision in Worksop, supporting primary-aged pupils who are finding mainstream education challenging. This is a full-time role with hours between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm - ideal for someone needing a schedule that aligns with school hours.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside a small, dedicated teaching team to provide one-on-one and group support to primary-aged children.
Help students engage positively in their learning environment, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs.
Assist with behaviour management and contribute to a nurturing, supportive classroom setting.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have one of the following qualifications / experience:

BA Hons Degree in Education, Childhood Studies, Special Education Needs, or
Cache/NVQ Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum. An Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this role (Academics can help you through the application process). All candidates will undergo safer recruitment checks before starting work.
